The guts of the ski season are about to start…. Paul and Caitriona arrive this week which is going to be awesome. And the list of international guests is a long one this season.
Early season is about getting the legs ready and skiing over the busy Xmas period. I got some turns in with Al and Jarisse.
Chris V and I had some amazing early season powder days…..
But, before I get to that , the end of summer brought some adventures.
I spent last weekend down in Colorado Springs, with all the monkeys up in the mountains after 4 feet of powder I fled the masses. On my list of things to do was climb ‘The Incline’. Just under a mile in length but climbs 2,000 feet on 2,744 steps.
Only took 51 minutes.
Then I thought I’d grab a celebratory scotch in the Garden of the Gods. Pretty place.
And then a celebratory beer at Andy’s place, from here you can see the Incline (in red) and Garden of the Gods with Pikes Peak in the background.
OK, i’ve gotta fly for an afternoon ski with Paul, Jason and Ty….. Charlie and Nick arrive tomorrow, Canadian Docs arrive next week and so does Shaz. Bring it on !!!!
